Workshop SCIP notification for article suppliers

If a substance on the REACH SVHC Candidate List is present in an article above 0.1 weight percent then REACH Article 33 requires suppliers to inform customers about the substance. The Waste Framework Directive requires these articles to be notified to the SCIP database. If no system-to-system options are available, suppliers must use the cumbersome IUCLID software (cloud).

Based on our experience with SVHC rules and SCIP notifications, we have developed a practical workshop in which we explain the key requirements and guide participants in preparing their own IUCLID dossier.

This course is also held in Dutch and Swedish (follow the links to Dutch and Swedish websites).

Program (½ day)

  • Introduction to the SCIP obligation: what to notify, who to notify, tips and tricks for combining similar articles
  • IUCLID SCIP notification: creating an article and entering article identifiers, entering information on the SVHC substance and material category, validation check, creating and submitting the dossier
  • Questions/discussions: extra time for questions/discussionsbackground, definitions import, article
  • substance lists, 0.1% interpretation & SVHC SCIP notification
